In response to Members of Congress voting for a two-day work week for 2016, we the People of the United States respectfully ask The President to consider altering the compensation structure of the Members from annual salary (with benefits) to hourly minimum wage as enjoyed by each Members' constituents (retaining their existing, generous benefits, including the new unlimited travel expense provision). We the People believe compensating what amounts to be a part-time position with hourly minimum wage compensation will aid in balancing the budget, provide incentive for those truly interested in working on their constituents behalf and offer an opportunity for our representatives to enjoy the lower-middle class life they endorse for the majority of Americans.
