This petition requests an immediate pay freeze for all members of Congress, regardless of party affiliation, until the sequester ends and a budget agreement is reached. Congress has a responsibility to the citizens of the United States to work with their best interests in mind. Instead, members of Congress chose not to act in good faith and fulfill their responsibility to reach a budget agreement, resulting in inevitable cuts to all areas of the federal budget. It's time to motivate members of Congress to act for the good of the American people, and if a financial hit is good enough for us then it's certainly good enough for them.
