Institute penalties on Amazon.com and other internet companies that provide substandard working conditions in warehouses

Created by N.M. on April 28, 2014

Amazon.com, Inc. is in egregious violation of human rights in how it treats its workers. The workers are tracked via GPS to ensure that they are maximally efficient, and are assigned points based on how fast they complete tasks.

Amazon.com, Inc. relies heavily on temp agencies to staff their warehouses - while this is an industry standard, Amazon.com could be a leader to promote fair wages and equitable treatment of work. The workers experience situations that are not conducive to their mental health, physical health, or social health.

This petition asks to institute penalties against Amazon.com, Inc. and companies that abuse its workers.
