institute a program that makes mental health care affordable to those who need it.

Created by D.C. on January 12, 2013

Mental health care is ridiculously expensive. A person with psychotic symptoms would pay thousands of dollars out of pocket under most insurance plans PER MONTH. This is well beyond the means of most Americans. An inability to get the medications, hospitalization, and therapy that would allow the mentally ill to live normal, productive lives costs lives in both suicides and mass shootings.
