Institute Proportional Representation in elections to the House of Representatives

In the electoral system known as Proportional Representation(PR), seats are allocated so that the number of votes a party or group of candidates receives is
proportional to the number of seats they receive. Thus, a party receiving 25% of the total vote will receive 25% of the seats. In the current electoral system, known as First past the Post(FPTP), seats are allocated based on who wins pluralities of votes in hundreds of different constituencies. By its nature, FPTP is anti-democratic, since it discriminates against smaller parties. For example, a party may win a large percentage oft he vote, but unless it has support concentrated in several constituencies, it will not win any seats. We therefore ask for the implementation of some sort of PR in elections to the House of Representatives.
