institute a simple test on the US Constitution that must be passed before a candidate may run for political office

Given the embarrassing lack of knowledge that many lawmakers have who are currently serving in the House of Senate, a simple test on the Constitution of the United States, that these people are swearing to uphold (oftentimes without understanding what they've promised), should be required prior to a run for federal office.
