Institute term limits and do away with life time benefits for U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

The members of Congress do not appear interested in producing speedy and meaningful legislation. Part of the issue is their lack of worry due to unlimited ability to remain in office. The highest office in the land has a two term limit, it is time to introduce the same for Congress. Term limits would also help reduce the power of lobbyist. Members of Congress would have less time to stall legislation while trying to persuade or manipulate others to vote on a particular bill in favor of lobbyist. The members of Congress should also be covered under the same forms of medical and retirement coverage afforded to their constituency. Maybe with their future retirement and medical coverage equal to the citizens of the U.S. we will see meaningful care and oversight of Social Security and Medicare.
