There needs to be term limits for our elected officials in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. These elected positions should be limited to 2 or 3 terms to allow for fresh ideas and different prospectives to come into both parts of our legislative branch of government. With the institution of these term limits more time could be devoted to legislation and less time devoted to reelection campaigns. There would no longer be lifetime congress people for any party. There are term limits for the President of the U.S., and the same should apply to our legislative branch.
