Institute true penalties for elected officials who are caught in a breach of public trust.

Created by W.H. on November 01, 2011

One of the primary causes corruption in american politics is the institution of career politician. Too often when elected officials are caught in flagrant breach of the public trust the penalty is removal from office, and in many circumstances they get the keep gains they made from their corruption, with little else as punishment. In an attempt to bring nobility to public office, there must be a stake involved, a risk for the person serving the office. I propose the "forfeiture of citizenship" clause be instituted and enforced for all elected officials, Any elected official caught in blatant/flagrant violation of the public trust immediately forfiets his/her citizenship, all benefits of citizenship, and upon being found guilty is to be escorted to the nearest border dropped off.
