In an age where authoritative fact and an informed electorate have been overwhelmed by the onslaught of uninformed opinion from the Internet, social media and the replacement of trusted news sources with ideological talk shows, we must find a way to trust our government.
Goal: Require all federal representatives, be they elected, employee or otherwise, to be considered under oath at all times and required to employ and covey only verifiable empirical information during the execution of their duties, especially during the legislative process and interfacing with the public.
The presentation of opinion, theory, or untruth should be considered an act of perjury and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No exceptions.
