The Obama Administration has been criminally negligent in investigating and prosecuting individuals responsible for illegal mortgage fraud leading to a collapse of the US economy.
This effort SHOULD have been priority #1 in Jan 2009, but only addressed 3 years after the nature & extent of the crimes became public knowledge. The Admin's response can only be seen as "a day late and a dollar short". In fact it's 3 years late and at least $100 Million short of funding/staffing a Task Force consisting of AT LEAST 250 qualified investigators, forensic auditors, prosecutors and expert consultants (William Black) to guide the effort, plus whistleblower protection and rewards.
This pathetic lip-service effort only reinforces cynicism and despair in US citizens about "equal justice".
