The crime of leaking classified information by NSA consultant Edward Snowden is a serious threat to our national defense and should carry a charge of high treason against the United States. We are in a constant state of war with groups large and small, foreign and domestic, and only a traitor would disseminate such information without the approval of his superiors at Booz Allen & Hamilton and its client, the US National Security Agency. This violation of the confidentiality agreement and the resulting security breaches transcends corporate espionage and should be considered nothing less than treason. Crimes of treason carry a potential death penalty, according to the US Constitution, and the authorities should pursue the most stringent penalty afforded by law.
