Instruct the FCC to meet with national news networks to create guidelines regarding national coverage of local stories.

Created by C.C. on November 28, 2014

In light of the conflict in Ferguson, and recent incidents like Travon Martin - George Zimmerman and others nationwide. The people have begun to question the efficacy and impartiality of national news networks coverage of local incidents, and their influence on investigations of those incidents. As local investigators cannot hope to keep witnesses from national news feeds and their effect on their investigations, the people ask that the FCC conduct hearings with national news outlets to craft guidelines that protect local investigations while maintaining the network's right of free dissemination of their product. Laws protect the individual as the right to a fair trail of their peers. Current news policies infringe on that right by corrupting the investigations with suppositions.
