Instruct the FDA to exercise its authority and ban the sale of candy-flavored tobacco products!

Created by M.D. on July 29, 2013

Tobacco use causes the deaths of 443,000 Americans every year. Treating tobacco-related diseases costs $96 billion dollars every year. The tobacco companies create, package, and merchandize these products to appeal to underage consumers. Research shows that 90% of smokers begin smoking by age 18. That number increases to 99% by age 26. Removing these products from the market will take away a huge enticement to underage tobacco use, and will help to free future generations from nicotine addiction and the devastating health effects of tobacco usage. Candy flavored tobacco products have virtually no adult market. The FDA needs to exercise its authority and remove them from the market!
