It is unacceptable that a group of armed persons be allowed to occupy and hold public lands any longer. The citizens of Harney County deserve relief from the threat of violence that hangs over their community, they deserve to return their children to school and to be restored to a state of safety and security.
We ask that the armed siege occuring in Harney County Oregon be brought to an end and those individuals who have participated and provided support to this act of domestic terrorism be brought to justice and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The theft and ransom of public lands under the threat of violence is not a valid political tool in the United States and we must not allow show and leniency to those who would attempt to use these methods.
