Our Founding Fathers created a government that relies on a free press and an informed electorate. Our media are no longer free and the electorate is being denied the information needed to make intelligent and informed decisions on the issues facing our country. Almost all of our country's media outlets are controlled by a few corporations, and in many cities, those corporations own several media outlets. This is not the free press envisioned by our Founding Fathers. A single entity that owns tv, radio and print media in a single market restricts the free flow of information and makes a mockery of a "free press". The FCC must end cross-ownership and the first step is to end the "grandfather" rule that allows much of the cross ownership. End the corporate stranglehold on information.
