Utilizing a replacement process developed in Lansing, the mayor of Flint, MI has a replacement plan for the water pipes in the homes in that city, beginning on or around February 22. The Governor has announced that he has contracted an engineering firm to conduct a study - within the next 30 days - instead of releasing the funds for the work to be done. The people of Flint have waited too long and should not have to be subjected to more waiting. The funds need to be released (as requested by the Governor) to pay for the replacement program now.
