instruct the OPM to withhold pay from Congress and the President should furloughs be enforced for federal employees.

Created by B.W. on March 01, 2013

Congress and the President of the United States are exempt from the possible furloughs as a result of sequestration. They are federal employees of federal agencies and thus should be subject to the same burdens the federal workforce may suffer by being furloughed or docked the equivalent amount of pay that federal workers will lose as a result of Congress' and the President's inaction and irresponsibility.

We the People petition the President of the United States to instruct the Office of Personnel Management, or the federal agency that oversees the pay of the President and Congress, to furlough each member of Congress, their staffs, the President, and his staff the same number of days as all other federal workers.
