Instruct the Post Office and Mint to issue commemorative stamps and coins honoring the Roe v. Wade decision.

Created by E.Z. on January 18, 2013

The landmark Roe v. Wade decision recognizing family liberty and freedom from unreasonable government intrusion into family reproductive decision making was decided January 22, 1973. January 22, 2013 marks the 40th anniversary of the case as binding federal law preempting contrary state law against family liberties. Celebration and honor for this judicial exercise of reason and endorsement of family liberty is something all levels of government should embrace. At the federal level, commemorative stamps and coins will be but one small step toward the larger goal. But one step in a proper direction can disarm thousands of steps away from the enlightened path.
