This Petition is being made to honor an assassinated President by placing his likeness on a $1 trillion dollar platinum coin minted by the Treasury Department to be used to pay off the Federal Reserve what is owed to them by the government of the United States.
President Garfield grew up working on the Erie Canal transporting goods to various cities along the canal and saving his money for school.
He was our 20th President, and his Presidency lasted 200 days, until he was murdered by Charles J. Guiteau on 4/7/1881.
President Garfield advocated a bi-metal monetary system, agricultural technology, an educated electorate, and civil rights for African-Americans and was against slavery.
