instruct the USPS to handle business mail addressing similar to residential , including the 1000s of Weekly Motels.

Created by J.C. on November 17, 2012

Every State has data showing an increase in Motel & Hotel occupancy in which the residents are staying for more than 8 weeks at a time. Whether the stay at these establishments is temporary or permanent, all that move in require Mail to be delivered. Motels and Hotels are classified with the USPS as a Business, and although people do live at these locations, USPS will not process Change Of Address forms, put Mail on Hold, forward Mail to a different address or any other action that affects the delivery of Mail to and from these locations. Any individual who stays at an address that can be classified as a 'place to reside' must have full control of their Mail. 911 Addressing was supposed to resolve this issue, but the USPS will not change the classification from Business to Residential.
