Internet privacy is among one of the most important rights that the people of the United States of America should have as the world continues to become more technologically advanced. The power of the government to access all of the information stored on any one person's device is inhibiting a citizen's privacy. While government access to certain information is a key asset in criminal justice, anti-terrorism work, and law enforcement, these gains are not worth the loss of each citizen's privacy. Part of the solution to the internet privacy issue is allowing encryption on devices, which would significantly decrease the threat of data breaches for individuals on their smart phones. Doing this would allow for more secure information and the insurance of internet privacy for each citizen.
