This petition is asking that the persons who are responding to all emergencies in our society to be recognized and commemorated with a federal Holiday. Especially on a date commemorating a date when many such persons gave their last measure of devotion. Naming September the 11th a federal holiday commemorating emergency service responders (eg., Police Fire, EMS, Trauma, ect...) and those members of the public who accept the responsibility to be first responders. These person protect us all as a society and as individuals with a seflless devotion to HELP.
