Our nation should interchange the age of the use of tobacco and alcoholic products, thus instilling the age of alcohol use at 18 years of age, and tobacco use at 21 years of age. Tobacco products such as cigarettes, kush, etc. kill more Americans per year then alcoholic products. Tobacco products also produce more cases of cancer. Most people turn 18 when they are a senior in high school. At this time, parents can teach their children how to properly use alcohol safely in their homes, before they head off to college. This will prevent hard-core binging the night people turn 21, which can negatively affect someone in college. Countries like Germany, that have the drinking age less than the smoking age, have better economies, less homicides, and a lower unemployment rate than the US.
