Please help stop the transporting or sale of equines (horses, burros, mules, donkeys, etc) to other countries for slaughter for any reason...including human consumption, pet & zoo animal food and other uses. This is to include prohibiting the exporting/importing of any equine parts. Many equine have received medications which cannot be tracked and make them unsafe for consumption by humans or animals.
Most importantly, equine slaughter is inhumane and unnecessary. These animals have often been pets and/or companion animals. They deserve better than gruesome slaughter.
80% of Americans are against horse slaughter...please let the President know you are one of them. Thank you!
