I have done the research on why a Death Star should be created. WMD's may not be legal in space according to the SALT II contract and the Outer Space Treaty, but the creation of a large space station could have uses in the medical field. Research for cancer and other diseases that seem to be incurable could be achieved by a Space Station at this size. Not to mention the amount of jobs that could be created by this large of a project.
