Interpret the Second Amendment literally: Because the idea behind the Second Amendment is to have citizens ready to join the militia to defend us from foreign tyrants, let them do so. Any person who own assault weapons or high-capacity magazines should be drafted, trained, and sent to war, bearing their own arms. This would help cut down on military budget and repeated tours of duty from our armed forces.
