We, the People of the United States of America, believe that the purpose of the Second Amendment has been fulfilled by the legally constituted militias of each State’s National Guard, State and Local Police, as well as Federal Armed Forces.
We petition that the White House ensures the passage of new legislation to interpret the Second Amendment to mean that its protection is only for the legally constituted militias above described, and requiring for all firearms possessed by persons not members of such legally constituted militias to be turned in to Local, State or Federal Law Enforcement within a reasonable deadline for a tax deduction equal to the estimated fair market value of the surrendered firearm. Moreover, firearm possession is to become a crime after the given deadline.
