This petition is for the creation of legislation that will provide health care coverage for qualifying Americans who qualify for state insurance or Medicaid but are without insurance coverage due to lack insufficient income due to part-time employment, unemployed, caring for elderly parents, or homeless. The lack of coverage is a result of the opt-out option created in the Affordable Care Act.
Millions of Americans are still uninsured with no hope of getting proper medical attention. Needless to say, this is precisely the population who can spread contagious diseases at pandemic proportion due to lack of coverage. Many are students who work in the fast food or other areas where they come in contact with our food, the public, school children, etc.
