Jon Hammar is an ex-marine who bought an RV and
Took his friend Ian to travel to Coasta Rica by way of
Mexico on vacation after returning home after a tour of
Duty in the Middle East. He took his grandfathers gun
With him. On the U.S. Boarder he registered that gun.
He was told by those boarder agents when he gets to the
Mexican boarder register the gun again with them. He
Followed directions and did that. On the Mexican side he and his friend were arrested for bringing in a gun. They let
His friend go but he remains in prison run by a Mexican Cartel and is facing up to 12 years if convicted. Meanwhile,
His family have been receiving threatening phone calls
To extort money ($1800) from them. If they don't pay
Their son Jon will be physically injured.
