Four years ago Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig tasked his "Blue Ribbon" committee to study and evaluate the Oakland A's stadium situation.
As of this writing, no determination has been made public and the cities of Oakland and San Jose have been left in limbo.
The process of constructing a new stadium would create thousands of construction jobs while the stadium is being built, and continually employ hundreds of employees on an annual basis.
The local economies would also benefit from revenue that would be brought with paying fans to games and other events the venue could host.
For four years both cities have been denied the financial benefit that a new stadium would bring, the residents would benefit from the improved financial situation of their home city.
