Intervene for the rights of Joseph Butler, a mental patient who is about to receive a jail sentence in Louisiana.

Our son Joseph Butler is mentally ill and about to be sentenced to prison in Louisiana Joseph was not born with a mental condition ,but received a head injury in a serious car accident. His condition went untreated for months. We've tried for years to get some type of long term treatment for Jo Jo's condition for years although he's been recognized by the state finally as having mental illness he has never received long term treatment .Now he is facing prison time for trying to protect himself Louisiana prison has shows no mercy for the mentally ill, officials or inmates,I know because I've been there. Laws concerning the mental are based on those who have better the system pretending insanity. Joseph isn't sick and can't speak for himself we are pledging for help please sign this petition
