Establishing a two term limitation to all members of Congress would accomplish several things. 1) It would reduce or remove the instances of a "lame duck session". If all members of congress knew they only had a set time to accomplish tasks it would get done. 2) It would ensure that all actions taken by representatives are in the best interests of America rather than their own re-election. 3) It would allow our congressional body to literally evolve with the time in which it is to represent. If a sitting member of Congress has been there for 40 years the likelihood of current political ideals being represented is slim.
I would recommend that this amendment is presented as a grassroots amendment in order to bypass congress since it is in their own best interest to remain in power.Thank you
