I request that the Obama Administration draft, introduce, and make every attempt to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment.
This amendment should require that each year's federal budget consist of income greater to or equal to its expenditures, based on the most accurate calculations available. If actual expenses exceed the projected expenses for a budget year, then that deficit must be reconciled in the following year's budget.
Furthermore, any proposal for creation of a new federal program must include a means of paying for said program.
