This Bill provides funding to install technology to improve classroom air quality. This reduces student and teacher sick days, lowers health care costs and improves educational outcomes. The savings to Medicaid alone are projected to be a 500% return on the investment. Cleaner classroom air reduces common health problems including allergies, Asthma, repeat respiratory infections and the spread of contagious illnesses including the common cold and flu. The payback is close to 25 to 1 when you consider all the savings for privately insured students, teachers, families and employers.
