To introduce and promote legislation to require members of Congress to pass mandatory drug test while serving

Created by M.B. on November 20, 2013

Members of Congress should be required to pass mandatory drug test while serving their terms. These men and women are privledged to confidential and classified information during various briefings throughout their career concerning economics, defense and foreign relations. The use of drugs leaves these members vulnerable to foreign and domestic influence through blackmail and bribery. The use of drugs could possibly influence a Congressional members thought process while voting if he/she is under the influence.
Americans in the military and private enterprise are required to pass drug test to accept job positions where the public could be at risk if the employee is a drug user. Congressional members who use drugs and are not tested put the public at risk by their votes and decisions
