The founders of The United States of America did not envision career politicians. Instead they saw regular people leaving their home temporarily to represent the people that elected them.
Today's Congress is full of career politicians. We need to limit the terms of Congress. The benefits of this include:
1) Rewards good ideas over seniority
2) Reduces the power of lobbyists and special interests
3) Reduces corruption of elected officials
4) Will reduce partisan politics
These are just a few of the benefits of term limits for Congress.
Our government is broken and corrupt. Introducing term limits for Congress is the first step to fix it.
