Introduce a bill to The Congress withholding their pay in the event of a Government shutdown

Created by C.H. on October 21, 2013

After the complete failure in leadership from our elected officials to keep the government running, it has been evidently clear that there is no immediate incentive for them to work together to come to a fair and beneficial solution of the partisan politics of today. With that being said, the Fairness, Accountability and Incentive for Legislatures (FAIL) Act should be introduced to ensure that failure to keep the United States Government open by passing a budget, passing a continuing resolution, and managing the debt ceiling by raising the limit or balancing the budget. This will ensure future elected officials are held accountable for their inactions by withholding their pay in the event of a government shutdown.
