Daylight Savings Time (DST) is a century-old nuisance that has never been proven to significantly save energy.
Originally conceived as a scheme to save electricity used for incandescent lighting during (WWI) wartime, it has outlived it's usefulness in our modern society.
The benefits vs. costs of DST have been debated to decades with no clear outcome, except that we still are burdened by it.
The rules for DST are the result of absurdity: Recently congress, pressured by lobbyists of the Confection Industry hoping to sell more candy for Halloween, extended DST by two weeks, starting earlier and ending in November.
This foolishness needs to end.
Let us repeal Daylight Savings Time once and for all.
