Introduce a bill that officially bans the use of the Confederate Flag for display or use in state flags (Mississippi).

Created by C.S. on January 03, 2014

Similar to the ban of the Nazi symbol throughout Germany and many other countries, introduce a bill that hereby eliminates the public display of any sort of Confederate flag or symbol (especially in Mississippi). It would still be allowed in textbooks and museums for educational purposes.

The flag represents a dark time in our nation's history that should not be glorified. There is a huge difference between remembering one's heritage and glorifying what the south stood for: The use of state's rights loopholes to ensure the survival of slavery.
