On YouTube and other video sharing websites, there are hundred of people called "Let's Players" or "Game Commentators." They are insanely popular for making videos of them playing video games and posting the gameplay and their reactions on the internet. Not only are they popular, but hundreds of people make their livings off of these types of videos. However, there has been much controversy over the legality of these types of videos, and some video game developers have even alleged Let's Players are infringing on copyright and removed videos from YouTube. However, I believe the Let's Plays/Game Commentaries qualify as fair use, and thus should be completely legal. This petition calls for a bill that will officially make Let's Plays/Game Commentaries a type of fair use, and therefore legal.
