Introduce a Constitutional Amendment to ban lobbying and enact public financing for federal elections.

Created by A.F. on November 17, 2012

Recognizing the corrosive influence that all big money special interests have on our democracy, this amendment would ban all corporate forms of lobbying (private, not-for-profit, religious, etc.) and establish public financing of all federal elections. By banning all lobbying and establishing civil and criminal penalties for what any sane observer recognizes as legalized bribery, politicians will ONLY be held accountable the individual voters, whose interests are paramount to any and all corporations/special interests. Federal Elections will be publicly financed. Party organizations that have a certain percentage of representation will be assessed a special tax on their revenues in order to pay for elections and debates and to get independent candidates and third parties on the ballot.
