Introduce a Constitutional amendment to overturn the 2nd Amendment.

This is a petition to overturn/repeal the 2nd Amendment to the US constitution. The wording of the 2nd Amendment no longer works in the context of highly mechanized 21st Century weaponry and ammunition. The 2nd Amendment is an impediment to any sane, federal-level weapon restrictions. It no longer benefits the public interest, nor the wellbeing of the American people, and should therefore be removed from the US Constitution.
