President Obama rejected the Keystone XL Pipeline. Whether or not you agree with this decision, Speaker of the House John Boehner recently made comments suggesting that he may link this project to extending the social security payroll tax cuts past February, possibly holding tax relief for ordinary Americans hostage to score political points and force his project through. It is appalling that he would in essence, threaten to give American families a roughly $1000 tax hike (The tax was cut 2%).We the American people are NOT a political bargaining chip. As such, I propose a constitutional amendment requiring any bills involving the increase or decrease of taxes on people or companies, to be clean bills free of any unrelated content, to prevent future abuses of the legislative process.
