Introduce a flat tax that charges everyone an identical percentage of their income.

Created by D.V. on November 13, 2012

Currently, as a citizen makes more money within their tax bracket they are not taxed at a higher rate. When a citizen reaches the upper end of their bracket, they are often discouraged from making more money by the increased rate of taxation they will be burdened by. In a fair world, making slightly more money should not greatly penalize an individual. A flat tax takes slightly more from an individual as they make more money, but the rate is the same whether the individual is a millionaire or a small town business owner and does not drastically penalize anyone for being successful. The incentive to grow should result in more individuals paying more in taxes and in more individuals that can create jobs which will benefit both the government and the unemployed.
