Introduce honey bees (Apis mellifera) as a protected species

Pass into law an act protecting honey bees.
Honey bees are the most important species on the planet. Besides pollinating our crops, the honey bee by products are know for their great medicinal attributes and bee stings have been used to treat ailments such as arthritis, muscle disorders, and most recently identified as a potential cure to HIV.
An act protecting honey bees should include investigation into harmful pesticides and the companies that create them. Scientists and Beekeepers struggle to determine the cause to colony collapse disorder that is causing population decline in honey bees. Recent studies have identified certain pesticides as a likely cause to colony collapse disorder.
This act would bring more awareness to honey bee importance.
