Introduce a law prohibiting the transfer of money/donations between lobbyist/lobbying groups and elected representatives

Created by I.J. on May 25, 2012

Lobbying represents a double edged sword in American politics. The right to petition is essential to a society that values the free exchange of ideas and rule of law, but too often that rule of law is overridden by deep pocketed lobbyists. We need a separation of Business/Banking/Industry and State much like the Separation of Church and State. Preventing big business influence in politics and vice versa will prevent corruption, bribery and cronyism and actually protect both government interests, business interests, and everyday consumer interests. It will limit domestic spying by corporations for the government, private prisons, rogue mercenary companies like Blackwater (a.k.a. XE services, a.k.a. Academi) and bribery of officials.
