Introduce a law to stop the Senate form adding unrelated amendments or rides to bills up for vote.

Created by T.B. on May 10, 2014

We as citizens must speak up when we see wrongs and must do something to help correct them going forward. One such wrong that can affect us all is the Senate’s use of unrelated amendments or add-ons also called riders to bills. These riders are added-on to pass specific goals that might not otherwise pass or to even stop a bill in its tracks. The Senate’s use of unrelated amendments or riders to bills must be stopped. This will ensure bills stand or fall on their own merit; provide transparency and add efficiency to the law making process. Please sign this petition to introduce a law to stop the Senate form adding unrelated rides to bills up for vote.
