The recent execution of Troy Davis is shameful. This type of killing belongs to primitive societies no matter what the person was found guilty for. Some states allow capital punishment and others do not. It is a fact that states that capital punishment is practiced, have higher crime rates than those that do not. The fear to be executed is not present when an person plans to assasinate another human. The electric chair or the gallows are not considered at all by the murderer. We are a civilized society and should behave like one. There have been many cases in which the executed person was later found that he was innocent. Davis will probably be one of them. Let's not be an example of savages in the eyes of the rest of the World.
