introduce legislation to combine Chip, Medicaid, Medicare, and VA into a single unified system

Creating a unified Medicare system would work towards lowering expenses for taxpayers and beneficiaries by creating an expanded network for recipients of any government-sponsored health care. The VA system could be dismantled in favor of allowing veterans to visit any facility that accepts Medicare, rather than traveling to distant cities to receive care. Long term goals should include lowering the Medicare eligibility age so that people between the ages of 55 and 65 can retire on private pension funds earlier. By creating a labor shortage, upward pressure would be placed on wages, and high-paying skilled positions will open up to the more-productive college graduate set, thus generating the revenue necessary to fund the unified system. Eventually, we could possibly expand Medicare to all.
